On September 24–25, 2025, in Tashkent, the seminar “Leadership for Resilient Communities: Strategy, Innovation, and Teamwork” brought together leaders from Uzbekistan’s local governments, public administration, and academia, along with Latvian experts, to strengthen leadership skills and promote sustainable development and innovation at the municipal level.
Participants:
- Gained practical knowledge on developing and implementing sustainable development strategies for municipalities.
- Learned to apply LEAN and design thinking methods to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
- Developed skills for building motivated and cohesive teams, fostering emotional intelligence, and cultivating trust in the workplace.
- Benefited from group work on real municipal challenges in collaboration with Latvian experts.
The seminar was facilitated by Agnese Cimdina (PwC, Diversity & Inclusion expert) and Juris Stinka (expert in public administration and process management).
The seminar is organized within the project “Support to Capacity Building for the Public Administration of Uzbekistan”. The project is funded by the German Development Cooperation Organization "GIZ" and implemented by the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFCA) in cooperation with the Agency for Governance Efficiency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
