On Tuesday, March 7, the Central Finance and Contracts Agency (CFLA) hosted a delegation of members of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and heads of local governments, who wanted to get acquainted with Latvia's practice in the administration of European Union (EU) funds, on an experience exchange visit.

Moldovan officials have come to Latvia to gain experience in various reform issues, including paying special attention to the EU fund administration system and its creation - Moldova, as an EU candidate country, must create a structure similar to the CFCA, which will ensure the monitoring of the use of aid funding. The guests were also interested in Latvia's experience in ensuring successful management of EU funds and investments in small and medium-sized Latvian municipalities.

During the visit, which lasts from March 7 to 9, the delegation also meets with the chairman of the State Administration and Local Government Commission of the Latvian Saeima, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, the management of the Riga Planning Region, the Union of Latvian Municipalities and the Riga City Council, as well as visits the municipality of Tukums Region .
