Partners of the Central Asia Digital Connectivity (C4CA) initiative have completed a ten-day mission across Kyrgyzstan, focusing on rural and mountainous regions where access to digital opportunities remains more limited.
Representatives from the Latvian Development Cooperation Agency (CFLA) and Riga Technical University (RTU) visited Bishkek, Balykchy, Kochkor, Toktogul, Naryn, Manas, Osh, and Suusamyr. During the mission, they met with more than 30 partner organizations representing the public, academic, civil society, and private sectors.
To support the development of digital skills and raise awareness about emerging technologies, experts delivered two hands-on workshops on the practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI). The workshops, held in Naryn and Osh, focused on effective prompt engineering and innovative ways to apply AI solutions in education, public administration, and youth engagement. Participants included representatives from local educational institutions, government agencies, and youth centers.
The mission demonstrated the C4CA initiative’s commitment to fostering inclusive digital development across Kyrgyzstan by extending capacity-building opportunities beyond the capital city and into remote regions. It also strengthened cooperation between local and international partners, contributing to the foundation for sustainable digital transformation in the country.
The C4CA initiative is funded by the European Commission and supports the European Union’s Global Gateway strategy. Through its activities, the initiative promotes inclusive and people-centred digital transformation, strengthens digital skills, enhances international cooperation, and fosters collaboration in the fields of connectivity and information and communication technologies (ICT).
