CFCA – the first public administration body to sign the Diversity Charter

Supporting the aim to facilitate respect and inclusion of diversity groups the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFCA) today, on 24 April, signed the Diversity Charter and was the first public administration body to join this movement and undertake to implement the basic principles of the Diversity Charter.

"Respect of diversity and inclusion are in my opinion indicators of an open environment. And open environment encourages creativity, birth of new and brilliant ideas,” said the Deputy Director of CFCA Gundega Šulca when signing the Diversity Charter.

The Latvian Diversity Charter is a voluntary declaration striving for respect and inclusion of diversity groups. Diversity Charter includes 15 determinations striving for respect of diversity both in workplaces and in the Latvian society in general. By signing the Diversity Charter CFCA undertakes to foster diversity and equal possibilities in the workplace.

As from February 2019 the Latvian Diversity Charter has become a part of the EU Platform of Diversity Charters that was established by the European Commission in 2010. It has now been joined by several thousands of companies all around the European Union and it represents tens of millions of employees.
